ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Regional Decorator will be to undertake decoration and improvement works to operational care homes within the Avery Healthcare Group.

 Other responsibilities will include:

• Procurement of plant and materials necessary to undertake decoration and improvement works 
• Liaison with Avery Estates, Care Home and Regional Directors to plan decoration and improvement works of the company’s elderly care communities
• Preparation of Risk Assessment and Method Statements in relation to decoration and improvement works
• Regular inspection of care homes and preparation of Home Visit Reports and Scope of Work reports detailing works undertaken

• Demonstrate understanding and knowledge of a wide range of traditional building trades
• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, and COSHH assessments
• Demonstrate basic practical ability across traditional maintenance tasks
• Work on their own initiative with a high level of autonomy, ensuring the best possible environment for the residents who form the community of the Avery Healthcare Group

• A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
• Full driving licence 
• There may be an occasional requirement to work outside regular working hours, and time off in lieu will be granted should the need arise.
