We’re now searching for a warm, inspiring, and dedicated General Manager to join our award‑winning team at Carrstone House Care Home in Downham Market. If you’re ready to lead with heart and help create exceptional experiences for residents and colleagues alike, we’d love to hear from you.


ABOUT THE ROLE

As General Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind a vibrant, person‑centred care environment. You’ll lead and motivate your team to deliver exceptional care, ensuring residents feel safe, supported, and truly at home — all while meeting regulatory standards and achieving key business goals.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Championing high‑quality, person‑centred care based on best practice

  • Driving recruitment, retention, and development to build a strong, engaged team

  • Acting as a key point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and external professionals

  • Managing staffing levels to ensure safe, effective care at all times

  • Providing inspiring leadership that empowers your team to be their best

  • Overseeing budgets, stock, and resources to ensure efficient, cost‑effective operations


ABOUT YOU

You’ll be someone who naturally lives our values — caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable — and brings them into everything you do.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have at least four years’ experience in a similar care environment

  • Hold a Leadership and Management Level 5 qualification (or equivalent)

  • Bring strong leadership and management skills

  • Communicate clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing

  • Be IT‑competent and comfortable with digital systems

  • Be adaptable, flexible, and ready to step in where needed
